Tea and Pearls was the inaugural fundraising event for the benefit of the Myra Schwartz Education Fund of the Florida Chaper of IFDA.  Florida IFDA has established this fund to enable scholarships and grants for studens as well as professional in the Interior Furnishing field.

Below are Myra’s daughters, Lori Shapiro, and Sheryl Martin, with their good friend in the center. Standing are Leah Keitz FIFDA and Past President Beverly Stewart who were inspired to create this event.

The Serenity Garden Tea House in West Palm Beach was the perfect setting.

Event organizer Lynn Sciarrone and sister-in-law Nancy find a table tucked in a corner filled with vintage china.

Sharing this table are Myra’s long time friend Teri Chetek, Renee Bakarian, member Carol Teti Keesler and Vanessa Vann Fisk.

Above member Leah Keitz FIFDA welcomes everyone and explains what Tea and Pearls is all about.  She generously donated a portion of the proceeds of the sale of her custom one of a kind pearl jewelry to provide seed money for this new program honoring Myra Schwartz MSEF.

Below guest Ellie Caimano admires the beautiful pearl necklaces and bracelets.

It looks like Elizabeth’s friend had no trouble picking her favorite!

Leah is joined by friends Ruth Behrman and Jane Casden.

The Tea House was filled with conversation and laughter.  Everyone enjoyed the delicious High Tea with tasty tea sandwiches, scones, pastries and an extensive selection of tea.

Our Chapter is pleased to honor the memory of our dedicated long time member by establishing this Educational Program in her name.
