- A minimum of 2 photographs per room
- Image size- All photographs submitted
must be a minimum of at least 300dpi.
3000×2400 pixels (8×10) @ 300dpi
- Image File Size- Minimum 2MB (4MG
Preferred) 10MB maximum JPEG/PNG/PDF
- Remove any copyright, clients name,
photographer name and watermarks’.
Failure to do so will lead to disqualification
of the entry
Judging in a blind review by a panel of distinguished judges will be based on the following:
- Scale and Proportion
- Color composition
- Creative use of space
- Functional use of space
- Appropriate design solutions
- Attention to detail and design elements
DESCRIBE YOUR PROJECT
A statement no longer than 250 words, detailing the important elements of the project including aesthetics and scope of work, plus details of the furniture placement, finishes, fabrics and other materials used, window and wall treatment, flooring, custom designed built-ins or other custom work, lighting, home automation and other components is required. Describe how your design and the service you provided support the healthy living, wellbeing, lifestyle, comfort and functionality for your client.

Michael Wolk started designing professionally in New York while studying at Pratt, and moved to Miami in 1973. Over the next four decades he’s assembled and led an extraordinary team of designers and artisans. He has produced unforgettable interiors for luxury residences, hotels, restaurants, and public spaces. He’s created furniture, lighting, and fabric lines for the world’s top manufacturers. His work has earned numerous awards including AIA Interior Designer of the Year and DCOTA Stars of Design for best product Designer. Wolk Design is recognized in magazines and coffee table books worldwide.

Michael has been a licensed interior designer in Boca Raton for over forty years. His work has spanned all aspects of design and comprises both commercial and residential interiors, product and consulting. His client list includes high profile individuals as well as some on “Forbes Top 100 List”. Some of his most prominent projects include Sensormatic Corporate Headquarters, the Don Shula Steakhouse chain, Graham Family Projects, Hunter Douglas Showrooms and locally the Jeffrey Michaels Showroom.
Besides his impressive client and project list, Michael has been an active volunteer for the profession. He has dedicated twenty-seven years volunteering on the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design, serving as a member, chairman, vice chair PCP member and consultant to the board prosecuting attorney. He is a life-time member of both ASID, IIDA, an honorary member of IDEC & IDC to mention and has received numerous awards for his esteemed design work.

Whether collaborating with an architect or builder on a whole-house interior renovation or updating a bath by specifying new paints colors,
decorative lighting, finishes and fixtures, KDZ Designs provides the same level of collaboration, creativity, enthusiasm, and attention to details
in all interior design projects!
I am a 2006 graduate of the Masters of Interior Design program at Suffolk University-New England School of Art and Design, in Boston,
and made a career change after having worked in the IT industry for over 15 years. I started my interior design firm, KDZ Designs, LLC
in 2009. I live in Western Massachusetts, and consult throughout New England.
I am also an 11-year member of IFDA and past chapter president (2014-2016) of the New England Chapter of the IFDA, having served the chapter board in
other positions as well. In 2018 and 2019, I served on the IFDA Educational Foundation board as Director of Scholarships and Grants,
and in 2020 became Vice-Chair, and will be Chair in 2021.
Fanny Haim, ASID, IDG, was born in Barranquilla, Colombia and currently lives in Miami, Florida. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and later at the University of Miami. From 1972-1976 she apprenticed with renowned Colombian artist David Manzur, and she exhibited in major galleries and museums in Colombia and Washington, D.C. Haim’s work was also selected among the most notable in the II Biennale of Arts in Chile, and her artistic background and expertise serves as the company’s creative guidepost over three decades of award-winning interior designs.
In 2014, Fanny Haim graduated from the OPM program at Harvard Business School, where she also completed advanced studies at The Graduate School of Design. She has collaborated with institutions such as MoCa (Miami Museum of Contemporary Art), as part of a program called Living with Art.

As editorial director of Florida Design and its affiliate titles, Daphne Nikolopoulos leads the venerable publication’s creative team in developing design content that inspires. An award-winning journalist and author, Daphne also is editor in chief of Palm Beach Illustrated magazine, a 68-year-old luxury-lifestyle glossy, and editorial director of Palm Beach Media Group, overseeing all creative content for 30 proprietary and custom publications. Her leadership has helped refine content delivery for all titles and employ a service-based journalism model with lifestyle-enhancing information for readers.
Daphne also is a multi-published author of novels and non-fiction lifestyle books. She is an occasional writing and cultural studies instructor for FAU’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and has taught courses for aspiring writers at Florida Authors Academy and other South Florida venues.
In all my years of working in the design field I have come to understand each client as a unique universe, and each project as a lesson in communication.
